Lessons
Lessons with Christelle or Antoine
Lessons are given on your own horse, in the indoor or outdoor arenas. Choose the coach who suits you and your horse, for a single lesson or regular work towards a competition season.
Christelle Lejeune
Yard manager, rider and coach. She has competed internationally at Prix St Georges and Intermediaire I and knows the horses at the yard day to day.
Antoine Nowakowski
French team rider on the international Grand Prix circuit and guest teacher at La Picaute. Lessons with Antoine are requested through the stables.
Riders from outside the yard are welcome with their own horse; an arena fee applies. If you bring your own coach, agree it with the stables first.
Training
Your horse ridden by professionals
When you cannot ride, or want your horse brought on, a professional rides him for you. Depending on his age and level of training, he is ridden by the rider who suits him best among those we work with. The work follows a programme agreed with you, and lunging sessions are done by our groom.
Training can be requested on its own, session by session, or as part of the livery packages with three or five sessions a week.
Aqua trainer
The aqua trainer
The aqua trainer is a treadmill in water. The horse walks against the resistance of the water, which also carries part of his weight. It complements ridden work for fitness and muscle, and offers a gentle way back into work after time off.
Sessions for private clients
Every horse starts with a short familiarisation, dry first and then with a little water, before working properly. Sessions are open to horses in livery and to visiting horses, paid per session; a box for the day can be added.
For physiotherapists and professionals
Equine physiotherapists and other professionals can rent the aqua trainer to work with their own clients' horses. Conditions are agreed with the stables.
Clinics and events
Clinics and competitions at the yard
Through the winter the yard hosts dressage competitions open to visiting riders, and clinics are announced as they are planned.
