Marie Anne Doret

Owner

Horses have been part of Marie Anne's life for as long as she can remember. Her first was a pony, when she was eight; she would ride it into the forest and disappear for the day. She has since renovated and rebuilt La Picaute from the ground up and given it its direction as a private dressage yard.

Christelle Lejeune

Yard manager, rider and coach

Christelle has ridden since she was five and has competed internationally at Prix St Georges and Intermediaire I. She has been at La Picaute since 2018: she runs the yard day to day, rides the horses in work, gives the lessons and runs the aqua trainer. She currently competes Sunny Boy at international level. She is the person you talk to about your horse.

Nicole Casterman

Administration

Nicole looks after all the administration of the yard, from invoices to the paperwork behind livery, rental and events.

Melisa

Groom

Melisa is the yard's groom. She lunges the horses in the work packages and looks after them through the day, from turnout to rugs and boots.

Miguel Duarte

Stables and maintenance

Miguel keeps the stables clean and the yard in good order. From the boxes to the maintenance of the site, he makes sure everything is ready for the horses and their riders every day.

Antoine Nowakowski

Guest teacher

Antoine is a French team rider competing on the international Grand Prix circuit, based nearby in Mélin. He trains horses from youngsters to Grand Prix and coaches riders across Europe, with one principle: let horses be horses. At La Picaute he is guest teacher; training or lessons with Antoine can be requested through the stables.
